Rush Spine Fellowship – At A Glance
Each fellow works with orthopaedic residents, attending surgeons and medical students. In addition, the fellows will have teaching responsibilities throughout their experience.
Approximate percentage of exposure to the Spine
- Cervical: 35%
- Thoracic: 20%
- Lumbar: 40%
- Other: 5%
Approximate percentage of Fellowship exposure to the Spine by diagnostic category:
- Degenerative: 50%
- Trauma: 5%
- Deformity: 35%
- Tumor: 5%
- Other: 5%
- Of these cases above 10% are pediatric
Approximate Division of Weekly Responsibilities:
- Clinic: 1.5 days
- Operating Room: 3.0 days
- Research: 0.5 days
